Howdy!
Last week there was a conference on and about art critics, it was very academic, and it was in French.
A month prior there was Plug In's symposium on the current state of arts criticism, titled Critical Condition: A Forum for the Dissenting Voice. Which featured a keynote address by Artforum’s Bruce Hainley and a panel with Robert Enright, Alison Gillmor, Richard Rhodes, Kate Taylor, and Trevor Boddy. I assume that one was held in English.
Since when have dry, academic and boring discussions about art criticism in a variety of languages become the thing to do in Canada?
