Fernando Botero fans are rich

Howdy!

According to the Presse Canadienne each and every visitor who saw the Fernando Botero exhibit at Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec spent $88 on other stuff that they normally would not have spent (I never knew that school kids had that much disposable income) and $12 on a ticket to see the show. And if 120,000 people saw it during the 30 days it was up that means an average of 4,000 each and every day. Or almost double what the Musée des beaux-arts de Montréal does for its blockbuster shows.

[update 11 am: There's something wrong with the article, the Botero exhibit was up from January 29 to April 29, or three months, Not five weeks. The show was initially supposed to close on the 22 of April.]
