A nicely done article on the memorial exhibit for Adolphe Vogt. Although I quite like the amount of research the folk at the McCord Museum have done. They have a picture of Mr. Vogt, but
We do not have any precise information about Adolphe Vogt. He does not seem to have been an employee of the Notman studio in Montreal. His name does not appear in the studio's payroll book, which is now in the Museum archives and lists the name, starting and departure dates, and wages of every employee.Heck, even I can find that according to the guy who founded the Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal Mr. Vogt was very well known for his remarkable paintings of horses. - source (pg 146) [pdf alert]
